Free Knitting Wizard For Mac

Several sites? Can you enlighten me since I am not familiar with them. I appreciate your help so I can make a decision. Honestly, as I said before, I have knitting software but have never used it. The one thing that bothered me is that the software is 'clunky'. I have worked for a software ( not knitting) company for years and know the software cycle well, so am aware of the huge effort that goes into it. Having said that, keeping the software updated and operating on a variety of platforms is a monster of an undertaking and is why I find these programs to be lacking.

I prefer Excel which belongs to Microsoft but there are open source spreadsheet programs that are as useable. The various websites out there that provide calculators are very useful but I still preferred learning to do these things myself so I could understand and practice the processes. So my advice to you is to learn how. Craftsy.com has a variety of courses available for a very small fee IMO - I would recommend Shirley Paden's course on 'Handknit Garment Design', As well as Faina Gobersteins course 'sizing Knitwear Patterns'.

I am not employed by Craftsy or affiliated in any way other than being a very satisfied customer. I have been knitting for over 50 years and am still learning, reading, and growing with my experience. I have used Quilting software for years with no problem. I would like to learn Knitting Software to expand my knowledge and teach myself to create my own designs. Excel would be something I would have to take a class for since I was schooled back in the days of manual Royal typewriters (don't laugh). Craftsy is an excellent resource for instructional videos by the way.

You mentioned sites for knitting software comparison purposes; and, since I am unfamiliar with them on the internet, it would be helpful to me to view those sites for information and comparison to make a final decision. Can you help with that?
